Clays for CASA, held at the Texas Gun Ranch in Terrell, TX on August 15, 2025, was an outstanding success. The event brought together community supporters and clay shoot enthusiasts, all united in the common goal of supporting Lone Star CASA’s mission. All of the proceeds from this event benefit Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) to ensure that 100% of children who have experienced abuse and neglect in Rockwall and Kaufman Counties have an advocate by their side.
Participants had a fantastic day filled with a shooting competition, lunch provided by Sessions BBQ, raffles, and silent and live auctions. As the day wrapped up, the winners were announced: For a second year in a row, Alliance/Galyean Team claimed first place while The Horsemen Team took second. Lone Star CASA extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who made the event a success, and congratulations to the winners.
“Because of your support, we can continue standing beside children and families who need us most. In fact, we’ve already served 22% more children in 2025 than last year—and the year isn’t even over. —making events like Clays for CASA more important than ever. We hope you can join us at Clays for CASA 2026!” said Lauren Rowe, Executive Director of Lone Star CASA.
In the current 2024-2025 fiscal year alone, Lone Star CASA has served 266 children. As volunteers continue this vital work, community support and involvement remain crucial in helping even more children find the safety and stability they deserve.
Right now, more children, especially boys, are longing for a strong male role model. As a CASA Volunteer, you can be a dependable figure in their life.
