Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children), a vital nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for children who have experienced abuse and neglect, is pleased to announce the expansion of its office space in Rockwall. The nonprofit now has two offices in Rockwall County, enhancing its ability to serve the growing needs of children and families in both Kaufman and Rockwall Counties.
Lone Star CASA’s new office at 102 Kenway Street in Rockwall will house the organization’s administrative offices and provide a space for staff members to manage operations and support volunteers. Meanwhile, the 108 Kenway Street location will be repurposed as a training and meeting facility. This space will serve as a hub for the training of future volunteer advocates, as well as a location for meetings and events. Additionally, the 108 Kenway office will store the toys and birthday baskets given to CASA children, which volunteers choose from the inventory to present to the kids they serve.
“We’re excited about this new chapter,” said Lone Star CASA’s Executive Director Lauren Rowe. “As the population in both Kaufman and Rockwall Counties continues to grow, we are committed to expanding our services to match that need. Our new office spaces will help us better support the dedicated volunteers and staff who advocate for children in these communities.”
The expansion comes as Lone Star CASA continues to fulfill its mission to advocate for children in need. In 2024, the organization proudly advocated for 214 children in Kaufman and Rockwall Counties. The organization relies on volunteers who gather essential information about children’s lives and work alongside the court system to ensure children are placed in safe and loving environments.
Lone Star CASA’s Kaufman office remains located at 2100 S Washington St, inside the Wells Fargo Bank building.
The expansion of Lone Star CASA’s offices would not have been possible without the generous support of donors, board members, and the community. The organization expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all who have contributed to this achievement.
