Clays for CASA Hits the Mark: Successful Clay Shoot Raises Essential Funds for Lone Star CASA

Terrell TX —

For Immediate Release

August 16, 2024 – Clays for CASA, held at the Texas Gun Ranch, was an outstanding success. The event brought together community supporters and clay shoot enthusiasts, all united in the common goal of supporting Lone Star CASA’s mission. The funds raised will directly benefit Lone Star CASA’s ongoing efforts to provide vital advocacy for children who have been removed from abusive or neglectful situations.

Participants had a fantastic day filled with a shooting competition, lunch provided by Sessions BBQ, raffles, and a silent auction. The event began with a heartfelt invocation by Judge Shelton and was made possible thanks to the generous support of our Top Gun Sponsor, Helwig. As the day wrapped up, the winners were announced: Alliance/Galyean claimed first place team, while PC-Constable’s Office took second. place team. CASA extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who made the event a success.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, sponsored, and contributed to the event. Community support is instrumental in our mission to advocate for and protect the most vulnerable members of our community. We hope to see you for Clays for CASA 2025,” said Lauren Rowe, Executive Director of Lone Star CASA.

Over the past 30 years, CASA dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure that the children in Kaufman and Rockwall County are placed in safe, permanent homes. In the 2022-2023 fiscal year alone, Lone Star CASA served 203 children, with 78 finding safe, permanent homes.
