For more than 30 years, Lone Star CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) has worked to provide our courts with the information needed to act in the best interests of abused and neglected children in Rockwall and Kaufman Counties, and to ensure that they’re placed in safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible.

 Here are a few statistics from FY 2025:

  • Lone Star CASA served 272 children
  • Lone star CASA helped 126 children find permanency
  • We had 125 active volunteers
  • We had 32 new advocates sworn in
  • Volunteers donated 5,847 hours to the children in Rockwall and Kaufman County. ($33.39per hour) 
  • Volunteers drove over 64,000 miles serving the children in Kaufman and Rockwall County.
  • Lone Star CASA served 225 children in Kaufman County.
  • Lone Star CASA served 47 children in Rockwall County.
